How is the pen attached to the pen stand?

In addition to the standard chains, there are also biros stands with ball chains that can be flexibly extended. This allows the attached pen to be used a little further away from the stand without a long chain always being in the way.
How is the pen stand set up or fixed?

What does a biro stand cost?
The history of the biros
Did you know that Galileo Galilei had the idea of a biro? In his imagination, a pen was supposed to use a ball to write ink on paper.
The first patents for pens similar to ballpoint pens were registered at the end of the 19th and beginning of the 20th century.
In 1938, the time had finally come. Hungarian-born László József Bíró and his brother Georg were granted the first patent for a biro, which is still in use today.
After that, it took another 6 years for the biros to make its breakthrough. Businessman Henry Georg Martin acquired the patent rights to the biros and sold 30,000 ballpoint pens by 1944.
His customer was the British Air Force. The clever businessman realised that the ballpoint pens could be put to good use in aircraft. This allowed fighter pilots to take notes at high altitudes without blurring them or causing problems with the aggregate state of the ink.
It is uncertain whether the biros factory of Henry Georg Martin and his business partner Frederick Miles also produced biros stands.
